Abstract

Partial least square structural equation modeling was widely known and used among business and management researchers. The new software update of smartPLS with more user friendly package could help a researcher to achieve their objectives in research. This paper aims to design a higher order construct (HOC) in partial least square structural equation model (PLS-SEM) using financial ratios. In order to provide the full understanding for other researchers, the authors conducted this analysis with a real case study. Variables under study were entrepreneur orientation (EO), human resource management (HRM), market orientation (MO), information technology (ICT), financial ratios (FR) and SME performance based on growth revenues. A survey questionnaire was used in data collection in two areas: Selangor and Sabah. PLS algorithm and bootstrapping procedures were performed for model’s significance and relevance. The results obtained from the analyses, however had indicated that financial ratios had negative relationships towards revenual growth of SME performance. Meanwhile, human resource management and market orientation showed significant influence with positive relationships. Thus, this paper would help SME’s owners to consider a proper financial reporting in their future business endeavours.

Abstract

This research purpose is to investigate Customization through Online-to-Offline business modelcould enhance Customer satisfaction for Apparel industry in Taiwan. With four specific objectives and seven hypotheses were developed. The sample was drawn from the population of Taiwan. Date collected from 221 customers of online store in Taiwan.  
The results indicate that factor of customization (information, product, service customization) and online-to-offline (order convenient, service quality, total price) could enhance the perceived value and contributed the customer satisfaction. In addition, customization can be influence positively to online-to-offline business model.

Abstract

Natural language processing (NLP) assists in learning a natural language in the educational setting by developing scientific approaches using computer and internet for improvement of learning. Language tools are necessary to improve the output of different researches in this field.  Different natural languages has different characteristics and rules that needs to be considered in developing their tools for language processing. The researcher introduced an NLP website that contains different language tools for Filipino language that may be used by students, specifically from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, to make it easier for them to develop the NLP system that necessitate to use these tools. This website was evaluated for its usability, the users who answered the survey agreed that the website is useful in their work in the field.

Abstract

The key goal of this study is to measure the impact of knowledge management on the human resources management functions. To achieve the purpose of the study, the following question will be answered: Does knowledge management – with its dimensions (knowledge generation, knowledge storing, knowledge sharing, and knowledge implementation) affect the functions of human resource management (human resource planning, attraction, selection, recruitment, training and development, retaining, and performance evaluation) in Jordanian industrial public shareholding companies?. The study found that there is a statistically significant effect for knowledge management – with its dimensions (knowledge generation, knowledge storing, knowledge sharing, and knowledge implementation) on the functions of human resource management.
