Abstract

It is a recent worldwide trend that museums are now developing their own for profit businesses and becoming an industry. Whether or not the museums in Taiwan can take hold of this trend and develop their own business is an important question worthy of discussion. The main purpose of this study is to explore, respectively, the influence of good customer service, business operations, learning and innovations, and financial management on Taiwan’s cultural and creative industries. The research subjects of this study are the managing staff of the museums in various counties and cities in Taiwan. The Convenience Sampling method is used to sample the population, while PLS-SEM is applied to verify the fitting effect of the Inner Model and Outer Model of this study, and the effect of every major dimension of this paper on Taiwan’s cultural creative industries. The research findings of this paper show that customer service, business operations, learning and innovations, and financial management present various levels of significant influence on Taiwan’s cultural and creative industries. This result may serve as a future reference to policy-makers of relevant government agencies for formulating policy, and may also serve as a reference to decision-makers of public museums or cultural and educational institutions in the arts and humanity fields in Taiwan for developing business strategies.

Abstract

The purpose of this Developmental Model is to create an efficient and effective generalized DW model (based on Data Vault 2.0 technology standards) and validate prototype implementation for a Corrections Environment that will provide efficient functional Business Intelligence to the End User. In Database Systems understanding the problem at hand and being able to use the right tool is an essential practice. State Departments of Corrections are often the last agencies to receive funding for technology based on the attitude of a society forced to provide technology based services for prisons. A Correctional System in itself is an ever changing Eco-system and will benefit from the use of a Data Vault System that is able to provide efficient Business Intelligence that is able to change with the environment.

Abstract

Currently, roadside parking charging is mainly operated manually. However, this makes it difficult to achieve effective management. Aimed at removing many inconveniences brought by this current approach, this study discusses how to apply Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in this issue.
The RFID reader can be installed on a track. Through the track, the RFID reader can detect a whole row of parking spaces along the sides of the road and therefore, can replace the current approach with which people hold machines to scan cars one by one. Both parkers and managers of the parking system can use an online platform which offers an open individual inquiry system and impartial and accurate reflection of the real-time status, and ensures a fair process of issuing parking tickets.
