Abstract

Under the growth of the stock market sector and the widespread of stock market applications, the stock market prediction has become one of the most important and challenging tasks in the stock market. Many data mining techniques are exploited to predict the stock prices in order to help investors in making investing decisions. One of the most common and widely used techniques is Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). In this paper, we aim to present a model for stock market prediction based on artificial neural networks. This model uses the variables of technical analysis of stock market indicators for predicting stock market prices. The proposed model is tested and evaluated using Palestine Exchange Trading (PEX) data, the experimental validations show satisfactory results that help investors and traders to make qualitative decisions.  The proposed model employs an adaptive process for optimizing neural network weights based on back-propagation learning strategy. The proposed model improves the effectiveness of forecasting the stock prices of Palestine Exchange Trading  (PEX).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the elements of indigenous tourism, as well as the positive and negative impact of the tribe. The Snuwil tribe are object in this study located at Ren Ai Township, Nantou County, Taiwan, qualitative research methods was used, including observation, document analysis, and interviews for investigation. Effective interviewed data through analysis and discussion, the findings of this study had the following: 1. Tribe’s natural resources and cultural traditions is elements of tourism development; 2. The tourism development can bring tribal peoples work and income opportunities, 3. The commercialization of indigenous weaving crafts continued the tradition of tribal culture. Based on these results, this study not only gives recommendations for the future development of indigenous tribes to go tourism, but also support researchers in discussions on future directions.

Abstract

Cloud computing has changed the way organizations, and individuals store their information, but there is still skepticism of organizations migrating to the cloud. This study aimed at understanding the skepticism of managers migrating to the cloud.  The problem researched was to understand why most executives in various organizations are skeptical migrating to the cloud despite the economic benefits. However, the analysis of the data showed that executives’ concerns and the skepticism of adopting the cloud infrastructure were the lack of control of data and difficulties migrating to the cloud. The purpose of this research study was to understand the skepticism of the executives adopting cloud computing despite the economic benefits. This study is limited to understanding the skepticism of executives migrating to the cloud. The theoretical framework for this research is based on system theory. Systems theory is a theory and a particular set of tools for identifying and mapping the inter-related nature and complexity of organizational situations. Data was collected using the secondary sources and analyzed using Megastats and excel application software. The recommendation to the executive of organizations who may be skeptical of migrating to the cloud would be to adopt the Cloud as an infrastructure. In this type of cloud base system, the consumer does not have control of the underlying physical infrastructure but have control of the operating systems, deployed applications, storage, and possibly limited control of selected networking components. Finally, more research is needed in this areas to fill in the gap in security risk associated with data virtualization, which is cloud computing.

Abstract

Consumption culture is one of the highly debated topics in almost all study areas. Its initiative motives date back to the birth of mass production that started with the Industrial Revolution and urged producers to look for new markets. The emergence of new markets not only increased consumption but also caused changes in consumption habits and culture. These alterations have gone beyond borders in time and outspread throughout today’s world that is portrayed as a global village. A distinctive amount of studies have been conducted on this subject in several fields.
Accordingly, the high-speed spread of technology and the fact that it is accessible by almost each individual in a society has increased its consumption, too.  The group of university students is one of the ones that are highly affected by these new trends. For that reason, technology consumption of university students will be the focus in this study. The socio-economic factors that are effective on technology consumption of Fatih University Vocational School students will be determined via a questionnaire.

Abstract

Given the broad range of products and services offered by the companies, the choice of a specific item becomes a very arduous task. To decide on which item best meets the needs, it would be necessary to first know the background all the items available in the market and the technical details that surround them. This task, however, may be complex because the large number of choices and the limited knowledge of the customer. Therefore, this study aims to use information extraction mechanisms to better organize the details of products and services, creating simplified  concept maps. Concept maps are mainly used in the learning process and therefore can offer tips that streamline mental absorption of knowledge. Much has been studied about automatic and semi-automatic construction of maps. In the present study, we applied text mining and natural language processing techniques to extract concepts and their relationships, to generate maps and maps comparisons.
